It would take quite a lot to get me interested in Dragon Age again, after the endless waves of mediocrity that Dragon Age II so loved to bombard us with. It would have to be something big. How about instead of just fighting dragons, you got to play as one, and the game had, like, really pretty graphics and stuff.
Well, according to what CVG describe as “a Kotaku insider”, that’s exactly what is planned for the most popular dragon based game after Skyrim. The next instalment is alleged to include an arena-based multiplayer which pits teams of players against a single, playable dragon. And it’s all to be lovingly rendered in DICE’s eye-groping Frostbite 2 technology.
But, said insider only mentioned “Dragon Age Multiplayer” not “Dragon Age III”, there’s no confirmation on whether the former will be a feature of the latter, or indeed whether this Kotaku insider exists at all. It could be some crazy conspiracy to make the world’s gaming news reporters look like idiots. Not that we need much help with that.
